I finally found the sound I searched for many years... Thanks a lot peter!

Guitars are the only things I didn't touch, but I've put some comp on bass, drums, synth...
So the guitars are just "pure" surely not well mixed (cause aren't!).

Gibson les paul-> Einstein-> sm7+sm57-> preamp (aurora audio gtq2=neve)-> elfatso-> duet->logic express.

no effects at all

I just took time to listen to my myspace, and I'm disappointed with the mp3myspace sound...
The sound is really great on my computer... should be the need of a well done mixing/mastering to keep things in the right way when upload onto myspace...
Someone had this kind of problem before?

It's makes such a difference when you use a high end pre-amp when micing like you have.

I think that the problem really comes from the missing of a mixing/mastering, so some high level sound cause sonic degradation. I've listen to other myspace that have finished work that sound really nice so...

Do you think that guitars are ok?
Cause I recorded them in an isocab I made, so want to know if you can feel it or not. :confused:
For me it seems to be pretty good but I know my set up too much and need some exterior point of view.

Guitar sounds nice for the style, maybe it could be a bit thicker (unless you wanna keep that "open" feel) Did ya double/quad tracked?

The keyboards don't get on my nerves too, which is rare ;p
 
there are two guitars; one rythmic and one lead (which is often double by a lead synth)
For each I've done two takes, and one take is by the sm57+sm7.
So one guitar is Four tracks.

:lol: :LOL: :D yes, it's a difficult part to choose synth sound, the trick is too add a bit of distortion to get them
more alive and more rock. The one of the moogerfoogers pedals is really great for that.
