Hi Peter,
Just replied to your email with my address regarding the MIDI chip. I actually sent you my address before you emailed but I guess it got filtered as junk. Damn AOL

And where's the button for PM? Can't seem to find it...

Thanks,
Marvin

THANKS PETER!!!! got your e-mail...

Man, I love this guy. I'm already thinking of getting a second amp, or a diezel cab. :D I've got a Herbert. Should the second one be a VH4, or an Einstein?

Also, can't wait to get my Weber Bias rite. Should I go 4x JJ E34l + 2x JJ 6L6GC, or 4x JJ E34l + 2x JJ KT88?

a good thing would be listening to some clips...maybe there is something on the forum, actually i can't find those mp3s....

i'd like to hear samples of a herbert with 6L6, 6 el34 another with a mixof 4+2 or 2+2+2 :) ...
(of course the same music pattern)

Weber Bias rite to bias Herbert? What's the point?

to check/change the bias when changing to kt88's. presently have ruby 2x 6l6 and 4x el34. aren't we suppose to check the bias during tube change anyway? did i get it wrong?

can't find clips or vids either. the 2+2+2 is really interesting. I think I would go with 4x el34 and 2x kt88. re-using the old tubes, i can also experiment with 2x 6l6, 2x el34, and 2x kt88.

Herbert is as easy to bias as it gets. All you need is a digital multimeter.

good for you.

i'm a noob with electronics. the thought of the croco leads coming off accidentally and touching other parts of the amp while it's runnning during biasing scares me. :scared:

i guess you have the herbert with no external point of bias, am i right?
on the new seems quite easy to do ( with external bias tester points )
