Ya know, its fun playing music most of the time. Even tunes I don't care for can be fun. I hate band drama with a passion! The only thing worse than that, is what it eventually leads up too.....BAND MEETING :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown:

Yeah, I don't ever really want to be in a band again for that same reason. It's like a goddamned relationship, and usually ends in petty bullshit.

I much prefer doing what I do now: Compose, sit in for various groups if they happen to need a guitarist or a pianist, do my own recordings and stay the fuck out of the bar circuit.
 
I can't stand drama either, even in the office at work it sucks :lol: :LOL:
 
Having fun of course! I tell people we don't get paid to play, we get paid to haul a bunch of shit around. Favorite thing though is watchin the girls shake their azz all over the place on the dance floor.

My trio gets along great. Bass player is a female and trades off on singing lead on tunes with me. Drummer is a longtime Harley riding buddy who also loves to play. 5 months and 20 gigs into this thing and it's still great. Hell, I'm 38, married with no kids. What the hell else am I gonna do????? Drink and play music. Sounds good to me!! :thumbsup:

Actually no, he's really cool. Everyone pretty much likes him.

Everyone has an issue at somepoint, thats just life. But can't it be left at the door for a few hours?

Which is the number one reason why I decided to call it quits with the coverband thing. The only coverbands that I know of who don't have any problems or drama are the ones were the players were peaced together and they all know the material ahead of time and just get together for gigs. I used to be so against this but it seems as if this just works better.
 
1. recording everything yourself b/c they can't play their parts
2. trying to tell someone they can't sing in tune.
3. dealing with their shitty gear. :thumbsdown:
 
sooner or later every band will have issues, just like any group will. trick is to try and think like a team, and not a bunch of individuals, and to make sure you all have the same goals in mind. if not, then your doomed :doh:

Luckily with the current line up, there really has not been any issues for awhile. I'm sure this will work itself out, its not a big deal just seems like its being made out to be. :gethim:

Lucky for me, I dont have to deal with any of those. All the guys can play/ sing well and have good working and sounding gear, nice pa and lights and even drivers licenses :thumbsup:
