I love this module! I've spent the last few days with it and it is probably the most flexible of the 3 (VX, and EG5). I am going to get the cops called on me for sure this week. :D I set the channel A pretty clean gain at about noon. I have found that all of my modules seem to come to life with the gain right around noon. I have the bright off and bass boost on 2.

Channel B is a whole different story. I cranked the gain to around 3-4 o 'clock and this thing is a friggin Wooly Mammoth! :rawk: It absolutely loves some down and dirty drop tuned blues riffs. It sounds like a Bif Muff on steroids. This thing has some serious booty.

I'm taking the day off tomorrow and intend to do some more knob turning. Anyone suggestions on tone settings?

No setting suggestions, but just turn it up and Rock!! I love my Bassman!!

I got nothing to add, it's a fantastic module. I put some new different pickups in my Strat las night turned on the Bassman and went to town. I could not stop playing it ... sounded too good. Try putting an Xotic BB in front of it and it takes you to a another place too.

I can't wait for my redone pedalboard to get back in a week or so. Got the BB Preamp all ready to start pushing the crap out of my M4 :).

Yep it is a custom 1x12 made by Mojotone in NC. (The guys that make all the Egnater cabs / headboxes / etc). I wanted a sealed cab, that was the same width and close to the same height as my Mod50 1x12 combo amp. Works well man :). Mojo makes great great stuff!

That's some good tone. Nice and chewy. :salute: The bright switch is something I will be messing with tomorrow. I also need to figure out THE DAMN MIDI. I'm sending PC messages from my GCPro to the M4, I select the channel I want to use on the GCPro, hold in the channel button on the M4 but no blink. I have to be overthinking it. I'll figure it out tomorrow...

EDIT-
I'm running the 4 bank method and trying switches 1-4 and getting nada. I think I'm going to dump the memory on the GCPro and start from scratch.

BMan is hands-down the best clean, mid-gain module to my ears. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it. With Tung Sol 5881s and the master hitting 1oclock it REALLY comes alive. One of our slower songs starts with me playing some arpeggios with chorus and at our last show and so many people were telling me how amazing it sounded, Even Nick commented that it sounded better than he even remembered.

Great great great module. Its not possible for me to like it any more than I do. Seriously.

Not gonna lie. That BMAN at the show last saturday sounded freakin' glorious.

So I reset the GCPro and it works! I had it set to that special POD mode. I'm a little sheepish to admit my former preamp was a bean. :jerkit:

I'm trying to convince my buddy to sell me his GCX. If so I figure I can get at least one OD. I'm thinking a Six of Swords or maybe a King of the Britains. My buddy has one of those wooden Zendrive limited edition models. I'm thinking analog is the way to go for some stuff.

That probably the only reason I sold mine, it really sounds killer one you get get the master cookin, moreso than other modules I think. I just played it at apartment levels for too long.

This seems like one of the most, if not THE most interactive of all the modules in a way that totally exceeds the goodness of the amp tradition from which it was patterned. I did extensive testing back and forth between all the low-mid gain modules to see which liked my gain pedals the most and this came out ahead each time. It is just super friendly to all gain both before and after it!

Hey John! Good to see ya bud. I was hoping you'd chime in here. I'm here to tell ya folks, if you're looking for the workhorse module the BMAN should be the guy. I know you get the T/D and DLX guys that say, "Yo this is the module" they just don't know about the BMAN. It's the guy for clean and beyond. Get it and see. It's the mid gain mod for me. Yes indeed. :rawk: :rawk: :rawk:

+1. I used to have a T/D and I painstakingly compared the two. The cleans were somwhat close, but the Bman blew the T/D away on the B channel. T/D is just to squishy and muddy for me on the B channel. Great for blues. But the Bman is crisp and tight on the B channel. Stellar for mid gain rhythms!!!

The TD B channel is most superb for that very slightly dirty clean a la EJ in my opinion.
