Been thinking of selling my Marshall 412 after comparing it to my Bogner 212. Even with the semi back on my Bogner 212, I think it has as much low end or maybe more than my Marshall 1960b. What gives?
I was told 14" deep cabs will have a deeper low end.
This came up because I am buying a Splawn Quickrod and am looking for a matching cab. Splawn said their standard 20" high and 14" deep 212 will have more and deeper lows than their OS 23" tall and 12" deep cab. How so? My Bogner sounds huge like a 412.
I know some guys say high gain tones will not work with a semi open back. BS! I get slamming high gain tones through my Bog 212 with the semi open back!
Other option I have is to sell my Marshall 412 because do I really need a 412 and just get a Stone Age 212 and install Splawn SB65s for my Quickrod.
