Very cool story, he's such a cool dude. I always wondered how it was wired because the typical/original wiring on those 3 pickup Customs was dumb af.

I remember listening to frampton comes alive on 8 track in my mom’s convertible Chrysler back then. I thought that was the most amazing thing I had ever heard. He could make his guitar talk….😂
It was the only "Rock and roll" album in my dad's collection when I was growing up.

My dad was a blues guy primarily and a bass guitar and saxophone player. He had a bass in my hands by the time I was 7 or 8.

Man there’s some righteous stuff on that record. I also enjoyed his hof performance. Not sure why they stuck the country dude up there with him though….he sounded great on his stuff also…..

I saw Frampton 3x. A couple of times in the early 2000's. The BEST was Central Park, NY. Schaefer Music Festival. July 27, 1975. One year before "Frampton Comes Alive" came out. I recall the sound was awesome at this outdoor venue. James Gang opened.

I’m so jealous of your concert experiences bro. I guess that is the benefit of living in NYC… here… there’s nothing… I love James gang also…

A year earlier and Tommy Bolin was in the James Gang. I missed him by a year. They were very good though. Yup, going to concerts in NYC was a blast.
I’m jealous of friends a little older than me, who were at the Fillmore East every weekend.

I never realized that he was in that band until I saw one of the videos on your YouTube page….

One of the greatest Live Albums EVER. My sister had the record, and she was 8 years older than me, I had to be 7 or 8.. I think I played it more than she did. I was a big Kiss fan at the time.. I was turned on to Frampton, Foreigner, Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd, Bad Company and much more, at a young age.

Did many a party to this one. 2x LP album 2 hrs of music on the turntable.
Sleezie agneeze is a wench.

Frampton Comes Alive came out when I was 14. It's one of the albums that had a deep impression on me.

Nobody plays like Peter Frampton. NOBODY. Dude has his own voice on the guitar.

John Siomos (RIP) laid down incredible drumming on that double live album. Dude was a prizefighter on the drum kit. He had it all. Just listen to that guy's POCKET. SICK! Frampton said "He was my John Bonham". Yep.

My wife and I often comment that we grew up with some phenomenal music.
