The new pedal board is in a state of destruction/construction.

I guess it's not going to the gig tonight, huh?

Boy is it ever fun making a mess! Cleaning it up is another thing...

    :D ;)

the funny thing is, I've been at gigs where people arrive with a satchel of pedals in that state.

And then I saw one dude throw an absolute baby-shit-fit tantrum when he wasn't getting any sound...

Maybe that was part of the show?

You should hear what the sweater and toolbox sound like through the Eggie!

Played with my Strat straight into the Eggie last night in a small wood paneled room- no effects and boy did that ever sound good!

Peace-

Len, just a couple Q's:

1: What is the big Line6 Pedal on there?

2: What is that moogerfoogerthingamabob? That thing is enormous. Ya can't find anything smaller for a pedalboard that'll still do the job? Those pedals crack me up, they look like a computer from 1977.

For me, personally... I like to try to seperate "recording" pedals, and "live" pedals. I used to love my Maxon AD999 analog delay, but it was enormous. And a MXR Carbon Copy gives the same basic sounds, but in a smaller MXR package. I try to look for pedals that are the most compact "bang for the buck" sizewise, for my live board...

Just a thought.

The Line 6 is the JM4 Looper- just got it yesterday and so far I am really impressed with it. This surprises me, given that I have not had happy experiences with Line 6 in the past. Believe it or not, it is a lot smaller than my old Boss RC50!

The Moog is the MoogerFooger Murf 105. It actually is kind of a 70's computer- all analogue. That thing has some weird to it. Weird is good!
It is sort of a combination filter/eq/wah/chorus/delay/loop effect.

I have thought about splitting into live and recording. We'll see how this all shakes out.

I love my Line 6 Echo and Filter pro rack units man. Couple them w/ my two MPXG2s...and I am in effect tonal heaven ;). Not all Line6 stuff is bad. That's for sure.

I had a POD a long time ago that I liked. Decided that must mean their amps are good so I traded it in and got a Flextone II. That was a mistake- That thing was awful! I stayed away from Line 6 for years as a result of that.

I'm still just fooling with the JM4- but so far the drums sound really good, and I am surprised at how much I like the amp and effect models!

Of course, I have an Eventide Modfactor on the way which I assume will beat out the modulation efects in the Line 6. Still, they are surprisingly good.

IT IS YOUR PATRIOTIC DUTY AS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN TO HELP ME PAY FOR THE MODFACTOR BY BUYING MY BOSS CE-20 CHORUS UNIT!

FUN!

their rack line which is discontinued is really really good for guitar stuff. outside of that i typically don't use anything line6.

In certain ways the JM4 is less capable than the Boss RC-50, which was really more like a little multitrack recorder. But it was so huge, and I didn't use half of its capabilities anyway. Besides, the JM4 does things the Boss didn't do, like amp modeling, which is useful.
