Hi guys,

Found a Hempcone-cab in my area with two speakers in it but without the typical ToneTubby-Sticker on the Magnet, but therefor a small sticker with TTC12-8 written on it.
The chassis is green and looks exactly like the tt-chassis - so is it a normal ToneTubby-hempcone?

Thanks in advance
Uli

I cannot tell you that the speakers you have "real" Tone Tubby's, but the TTC12-8 should mean Tone Tubby ceramic 12" speaker @ 8 ohms.
I have a pair of these in my Diezel 2x12. The frame is green, and your sticker "could" be an earlier version.
They had one original version and then Clapton came by and asked them to build him a cone with different dampening specs. This has become the normal TT cone after his visit.
They now offer two or three cone varieties.
You might email Tone Tubby and enquire. They might be able to help you find out exactly which cone-type you have.

Thanks C-4

The Cab ist a 2x12 Diezel-hempcone-cab (I should have mentioned...) - a new one with the silver piping.
It's only because of the design of the speaker - those do look like the The Tone Tubby "40/40" in the shop:

The only difference is the sticker on the back of the magnet - they do not have the blue sticker with the arm.

Thats why I'm asking..

My boxes straight from tone tubby have TTC12-8 written on them.

I have noticed that Diezel markets that cab as "hempcone loaded" or the "hempcone cabinet", I have never ever seen tone tubby mentioned.

I think its all just a matter of keeping the focus on Diezel.

We also don't know if the stock TT is the same as the Diezel TT, there are different models that are enzyme washed for more highs, it could be one of those or even a little bit custom. you'll have to ask Peter.
