Hey Peter!!

I´m out looking for a Diezel cab, do you have an estimated time of shippment and price on the new cabs? Do they sound much better?

i can tell you how they sound 'bout this time next week - mine was dispatched today and according to Peter Stapfer ( get well soon peter ! ) , its the first of the new-build 2x12's .
he says that it " sounds 3 dimensional " , btw .

i only played the old cab in a studio for about an hour , back in May of this year when i demoed the einstein .
that cab sounded great to me , and i was happy to have one of those .
however , when i asked if i could get a cab with a black grille instead of the salt'n'pepper and the distributor said "yes " , i ordered that instead ( along with the new head and tubelit mod ) .
it just so happened that the order coincided with diezel moving the cabinet production to in-house , so theres been a bit of a wait while they experimented with different construction methods , etc .
i'll certainly keep you informed though , and i'll post some photos too .

i see youre on the board - i got the rig and it sounds astonishing !!!
got the chance to crank it today for a few hours and its just incredible .
the new cab really does sound 3D as peter stapfer said .
very tight + very big , and with a wide response without being overly focused in any one area .
also tried the head through a GenzBenz ported 2x12 with T75's , which was good ( more mids - made the einstein sound more like a traditional marshall roar ) , but i personally prefer the diezel cab .
i'll post some pics tomorrow .

Please, post pics, and give us a little more info about yours... Frontloaded ? Rearloaded ?? which speakers does it has ??

its rear loaded with 2 x V30 speakers .
i dont own any other cabs to compare it with , but i'm very happy with the sound - its enourmous , especially for a 2x12 .
its bigger than a regular 2x12 also , maybe 3/4 the size of a marshall 4x12 - so theres more cabinet around the speakers which i think helps the dynamics of the cab a lot .

How much are they & where can I get one?
I was planning to get a 2x12 Bogner, but looks like I'm going to change my mind.
 
i dont know any details about the price and availability of them , but you have to try one of these before you consider anything else - it sounds incredible !!
try emailing peter stapfer .

I could use this information, as well :) I.e. availability and price (range will do) of'course :) I think that having this info posted on the forum will spare Peter's e-mail from being overwhelmed with one and the same question.

Any news on the prices...I need a 4x12...

I've received a very prompt answer to my question.

In short it will be available in the US not sooner than 4 months from now. By then, when US retailers have it they will post the prices.
