The New Diezel Cabs..

I've been hearing nothing but amazing things about the newer Diezel cabs. Although it's only been about 4x12's. Are there newer 2x12 or 1x12 cabs too?

Yeah with Ogre skin cones and covered Dragon hide.

I don't care what they are made of, I'm still buying one of the new hempcone rear loaded

According to the latest news and my hour with my just received rearloaded cab - 4 x 12" with 2 x Hempcones and 2 x V30 - it is as metal as it can be. Peter S. can confirm this and add a little more if you speak to him.

Btw. I can't thank enough to Terry for his assistance (even being in US ) on getting this done. As expected it turned out amazing sounding cab (as always experimenting was the key ). Now need to stop flying around and get back to seriously break-in the speakers Will post few samples. Einy sounds tight and brutal through it.

I actually talked to Peter S. about that when I bought my new cab, and he said that the fl V30 is more suited for metal, but oh well...

I played them both and the G12 cab, and to my ears the V30 won.

My conversation was last Friday and that was the first cab with this speaker combination (hempcones & V30) produced so that's pretty fresh There's a second as I understood that goes to a famous Diezel user, if I got it right.
But as always that is IMNHO and YMMV

As always it is pretty much a matter of taste.

I liked the frontloaded G12K100 / V30 mix the best, so we've already got 3 different opinions

The thing we probably all agree on is that the new cabs no matter which speaker or construction are simply awesome

Much agreed, although Jaymz - that's pretty all encompassing statement ("no matter construction or speakers", I mean) - and means everything that comes out of Diezel Gmbh - to which I agree as well

That combo works great in rear-loaded cabs too. Sounds great for metal IMO.

I'm not that metal really, and I have an Orange 4x12 with V30's I can try, but I heard the VH4 doesn't work so well with the Orange cab.

I'll report back when my gear turns up, I haven't got any of it yet!

Not true. It actually works quite nice but maybe not the tightest combination possible and here's the reason why: http://simopp.wippiespace.com/random/orange412/ It's slanted, haven't got an opportunity to open up a straight one yet.

I've got the straight one, and it's a really nice cab, and works very well with the Rockerverb 50 it's plugged into (as it should!).

But I've heard that the V30's in the Orange get a bit glassy in the top end when used with the VH4. I guess I'll find out for myself soon!
