Well-known member
I've seen members help others out with advice, parts, gear, comfort in hard times, those who work hard and dirty for their families, those that put strangers before themselves, those who make us laugh, and those who let the opinions and stances of others no matter how spot on, beautiful, asinine, or crazy go up against a world seemingly comfortable with silencing itself or heading for 1984. What lovely and positive impacts have you done this year for others that prevents a visit from Krampus whipping the hell out of you with his birch drumsticks this holiday season? What's the prize for wasting your time on this stupid thread you ask? Community acknowledgement? Gear? The heart of Mrs. Claus? Where's the fun in knowing your gift? This contest will end today @ 5pm Earth time.

I'm hoping Krampus skips over me this year because of the time I spent rescuing all the homeless cats in my neighborhood.

My neighborhood is uh, "diversed and enriched", and one of the many blessings of enrichment and diversity is unfixed cats running around the neighborhood, having kittens, getting into fights, and shit like that.

I generally clean them up, do a search around my neighborhood using google translate and local facebook to see if they're missed, etc.

The ones who aren't "runaways" go to a private shelter (because the humane society and PETA kill them) and because they will actually find a home that way.

Here's a couple of my homies, post glow up

Unfortunately, living in an urban area means lots of people not taking care of their animals.

What a tricky contest. I would’t feel right to sing odes to myself.

At least I know I am at peace with my conscience and with Krampus as I for yet another year sacrificed all of my personal desires to the wellbeing of the family. Do what’s right, come what may 🤘🏻

Oh and for sure I tried to be the best friend I can, some of mine here might attest too. But hey, doesn’t everyone do that? Is it even friendship if not? 🤔

That's awesome and I wish more people would have as much heart. My wife and I have rescued many cats over the years, we currently have six we have found abandoned and abused and thankfully have the room and means to give them a good home. Thankfully we have some pretty good neighbors and three other homes on our block have all made it a point to trap and neuter any strays so we've really whittled the feral population down here in our area.

Sadly there are human pieces of shit who abuse animals and on our way to my birthday lunch two years ago, we heard a kitten coming towards us across the street, starved, sick with calicivirus, and abused but somehow with the strength to walk towards us. We took him in, cleaned him up, got him to the vet - he was three pounds. Now he's a svelte and happy 14 pounds and my best friend,- - Frankie Five Angels.

Great minds think alike @watson503

I'm glad to hear Frankie has a good home

I wish more people would take responsibility for their pets, because it's not fair to the cat, and it ridiculous to have strays everywhere in a neighborhood

I'll talk myself up in the workplace for accomplishments and a job well done because Lord knows no one else will. If I don't my "superiors" will just take credit for what I've done. I'm not one to do that for general good deeds though. I just do what I can when I can without looking for any recognition.

Edit: If there is a prize give it to @DanTravis62 and/or @watson503 for them opening their heart and homes to stray and neglected animals.
I live a little more in the country so strays aren't as much of an issue as in the city. The bigger problem is too many people around here; while not abusing their pets, treat them more like possessions. That if something happens I'll just go get another one mentality. My wife and I have 2 cats and they are like children to us. I have a hard time understanding how anyone could think of their pet(s) as any less.

I help moderate these lunatics on a daily basis. That is my service to whatever humanity I have left.

Both should clear you guys of charges from Krampus.

I especially understand the workplace thing; I recently quit a dream job because of that shit.
