Take advantage of this opportunity to raise some quick cash for that CCV fund! :D

What mod are you looking for? There are at least 4 standards (LG Jose, HG Jose, Aldrich, Ocean) plus other one off stuff...

Hey, did ya check this out?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Mark-Cameron-Mo...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f01251b2c

I'd check this out a whole bunch b4 I hit any Buy It Now button, there are a few things odd with the auction; lack of front panel photos and I didn't unnerstand the controls description very well.... :scared:

I have had a bunch of Mark's modded amps and they all sounded different; some I really liked, others were OK and I shed them. I think the ones he did earliest were my favs as I think back.

Thanks for the questions and lead on the eBay Cameron. I have received a few PMs so far and am still on the hunt for the ideal amp. The perfect example would be a tricked out 70's or 80's mod Marshall with the Aldrich and/or Jose mods as my two top options, although I would not rule out the Ocean mod. More switches and knobs are also preferred. I have cash in hand and am ready to buy once the right amp comes along. Feel free to email me pictures and details of any Cams you would like to sell. My email address is onzabar@cox.net. Thanks.

As great as options are, I've found the more features and hoo-hah, the more it degrades the tone. My single channel Cameron Marshall was absolutely amazing. Just straight high gain Jose with 2 inputs, no special knobs added. I had a switchable 2 channel one and it just wasn't as great, but it was still really good

There's something to be said with that.... as long as you can get away with kinda rig/set-up for the music you play, I agree, less can be more.

My Brown Eye modded JMP is only a one-channel amp and with an EQ pdl in the loop and maybe one OD pedal (treble booster type) in front, I can play an entire gig riding my gtr volume pot. It cleans up better than the Cameron mod with this method. No channel switching even needed. :gethim:

I will pay top dollar for the right Cameron and prefer a channel switcher with Aldrich mod if possible. The more knobs and switches, the better! Please email me at onzabar@cox.net with pictures and your price. Thanks!

If you are still on the hunt, you might as well just get a nice JCM800 or a Metro amp Marshall and send it to Dave Friedman and get the "Kitchen Sink" with saturation switch and tube buffered loop. Should cost you a lot less in the long run. Figure $1000 for the amp and let's say $700 for the mods. That gets you to $1,700. Most Camerons are going to cost you $2,700. I would also have suggested Mike Fortin, but Mike isn't taking any more mod work right now...but then again, you could always send it over to Dan in the UK ;)

Well said, Dave and I'm loving my KS-modded JMP! That's very close to what I paid, but I elected not to get the Sat switch (but may soon).. It's a close cousin to the Cameron mods (I have a MC LG/HG "Jose"), but with a little different flavor, plenty of gain on tap, it's tight as hell when ya goose the power section and it cleans up like a bitch when ya roll off the axe volume a tad. I was just using the Brown Eye circuit and lately started using the Hairy B.E. mode more!

And...it does an awesome Van Halen/brown tone that kills thru good speakers... Everyone that hears it says it's my best rig... And that's after wayyyy too many rigs... You name it - I have owned and played it...

They are both great amps, as well as an Aldrich-mod would be..(I have checked out your Aldrich clips... killer grind and greasy high gain)... I need to check out dan's stuff...

Thanks for the replies. I recently picked up a Marsha and agree that Dave Friedman makes a kick ass amp! I am looking for something to compliment its tones with some more modern aggressiveness. Would a Cameron Aldrich mod fit the bill? I wonder if Dave could create something comparable?

Well, I haven't tried out a Marsha yet, but the clips are killer... The "Kitchen Sink" modded Marshalls are pretty G.Damn aggressive (well, at least mine can be) and Dave also has another mod... it's the "APC"... Axe him about it... It is even more aggressive and "modern" sounding...

I will give you a review sometime soon.... :D
