Also, where the fuck is your hat that your friends at gibson gave you?
You are kinda terrible at this sellout shit
I've found it to be the trick. Especially boosting select frequencies. I'm using a semi-parametric mid boost coupled with an SD1 for example. But I think you could get the same effect with two TS style pedals, or a TS plus GEQ and so on.. I've been doing some field research into this double boosting thing since Racer mentioned it last year.
Sounds good, but for death metal I would probably boost it with something spicier than a TS, just to make it a bit wilder and out of control sounding
Maybe TS into a MIAB into the 800? That's a great combo and gets a bit more aggressive but keeps the marshall DNA. I've been doing some field research into this double boosting thing since Racer mentioned it last year.

I used to use a Maxon ST9 and boosted that with an OD9. I tried the TC-Electronics, EQ's, 2 OD9 Stacked, Metalzone, SD1, DS1, HM2, Amptweaker, Maxon 808. OD820, TS9 Mini, 808DX (?), Rat and then still probably a few that i don't remember now, then i used the Deadweald Duality DX but i never had a meaner, thicker and punchier sound, than with just a simple good old TS9. The Amp is below Bedroom-Volume in this Clip with only 1 single 57 and only 1 Track on each side.
Yes. I did that too. I stacked all sorts of pedals. The DAE for example is a TC-Style/TS9-Style Pedal with a built in Noisegate.Absolutely, especially in that type of music - there's a lot of things competing for frequency real estate
Yeah I don't mean two tube screamers, I mean tube screamer + (another gain stage of various flavor) into amp - in my case a low gain MIAB pedal to accentuate the high midrange
Especially with a mix that busy, as in death metal, you gotta have the guitar poke through the drums more and stick out

Here's the clip i posted just recently with some more Mastering going on with a different Mic-Position, also on very low Volume:
