Hello from Greece.

Right to the point.
Does 50Watter has more sweet overdrive?
Does 100W has more low end at the same (relatively low) volume level?

I know that the best thing to do is to grab my guitar and go to listen to both and find out by myself, but I do not have such an opportunity and i need to order my Einstein NOW

Keep Rockin,

Put it this way, I was always a 50 watt amp guy myself until I took a chance and got the 100W Einstein head.

Man....am I glad I went with it.

either way though, you can't lose!
:)

I think the question your really need to ask yourself is how much you wanna spend on maintenance in the future & how much power you need. 2 power tubes is always cheaper than 4. A 100wter will have more low end thump, even at lower volumes, which I don't think you need honestly. I had to roll down the bass on the 100wter, because it was just too much.

Both amps in question are fantastic. The master volumes on both are possibly the best I have ever tried. Both are plenty loud. Both are incredibly dynamic and all the controls on both work amazingly well. This amp does what you expect, want, need, hope it will do in the power and pre section. The 50 is special IMO. You can't go wrong with either. Both are loud, both sound great at low volume. I lean towards the 50 today.

i've always been a big fan of the 100 watt (or larger) heads. Ive played a 100w & it sounded great!! I would imagine either way you would be set!! :D

100 all the way! more headroom and tube mixing! Loving mine more and more each time I play it!

Thank you all

I think that am only gonna decide last moment..

I've been using a 50 watt Einstein into a 1x12 MB Widebody cab 3 to 4 nights a week for a few years now. (With the exception of the few weeks here & there where I decide to use my Bogner Shiva just to mix shit up a little :D ) The rooms I play vary from about 150 to 800 capacity, & the highest I've ever had the master volume is between 10-11 o'clock. (All other controls are at 12:00). In my experience as a working club player, the 50 watt head has plenty of headroom for any gig, and still cleans up really nice when you roll off the volume on your guitar regardless of how loud you have the amp set..............I play everything from George Strait, to Metallica & the Einstein 50 covers it all beautifully!

I should also add another shout out to the quality and reliability of this amp, i.e., I've done hundreds of gigs over the last two years, usually 4 to 5 hours a night with my Einstein, and it still has the original tubes & sounds killer! (Knocking on Wood.....  )
