There's going to be tariffs on guitars/amps/whatever from Japan/where-ever you buy.

I just got a "text" from "US Customs" telling me my package has been "detained" cuz they don't know my zip code.
Funny thing is i haven't ordered anything. Let the games begin.
Im guessing ebay & reverb are going to tack on the "tariff" on what you buy automatically.
So much for "free trade".

be wary if they start asking for detailed personal information or customs charges. The world is a scammer paradise right now.
 
Where to begin with this thread....
- you're getting scammed
- there isn't free trade on instruments between USA/Japan
- whether you pay duty on something coming from Japan will depend on who is sending it to you, where it was made, how they sent it to you, how it is declared, and random chance
 
I fail to see what you getting a scam text has to do with tariffs. Funny you lament talking about politics while trying to inject politics into the discussion.

btw, every time I have a package coming I get texts telling me they couldn't deliver my package and to click this link. Usually from a different carrier than the one I'm using. Apparently it's not too difficult to ascertain when someone is going to be getting a package. My guess is all the major carriers are compromised because I'm 100% positive my shit isn't.

Born here raised here. Not going anywhere. I don't take unsolicited advice but regards.
Everyone will be surprised whats imported here when you pay 20%+ more.
90% of guitar / amp gear is made somewhere else.
If you dont minds paying an extra $200 bucks for $1K worth of shit don't trip.
Hate the message not the messenger.
