Since it looks like an upside down cross, I guess it's kind of cool:

Pretty good idea if it works. Wonder if it could really handle a drop from a guitar stand. IMO it should be half that price.

Damn that looks terrible. To be fair, it seems it is primarily used for shipping/travel. I'm sure someone will leave it on every time it hits the stand though.

So it's kinda like preamp tube covers for my amp: They are meant to protect the tubes in transit, and then removed for better tone?

LOL I haven't heard that one before. Do people actually do that?

I briefly poked around that website and didn't see any: if you make a product like this, you'd have to post a vid dropping a tuned-up LP and showing it survive, right? If you can't make that video, then what are we doing here?

Seems like a solution looking for a problem.

Guitar has existed for quite a while now and the vast majority of them (that aren't Gibsons) don't have a head snapping issue.

Also how obnoxious would it be to take off and put on that thing every time you pick up the instrument. If anything, I'd think the continuous back and fourth change in pressure from adding and removing that thing over time would be way more harmful to the neck than the strings simply keeping a stable pressure on the guitar.
