Hi All,
As you may or may not be aware i'm quite new to all the technical sides of amps and have been building up my knowledge by reading all your posts and investigating on the internet. As I am quite young (20) I hope to make a career out of it in the future...maybe at Diezel?!
Anyway, I am currently running 6 TAD EL34B-STR's in my Herbie and was thinking about trying some 6L6GC's out. I've been doing a bit of digging around and see that there are a few on the market such as JJ's, Svetlana etc. Does anyone have any experiences, recommendations or possibly sound clips I could listen to? Also, will it do my tone any favors? I tend to go for a more scooped mid tone as I am a bit of a metal head lol
