This feels like a good time to be a guitarist

Some of the amps coming out right now really have me excited. The Snorkler seems to be well liked. @EddyLenz is killing it. I need to try one of his amps. I need to check out friedman. I have never played one of his amps, but heard a BE live and it kicked ass. I Need to trek down to san antonio and check out what Monomyth has come out with lately. Haven't played one of his amps in 4 years.

But right now with the IIc+ coming out, it seems like amp makers are finally putting out good amps and not just hyped ones. I remember Fortin was pumping out his stuff and we thought it was the second coming, but this one feels real.

Yes, still a lot of stuff I don't like, but the Snorkler, Lenz and Hell Razor are 3 awesome amps. I like Hermansson's Recto mods also and maybe his amp line could eventually happen actually. You should try the Friedman's. Not my favorites still, but some things about them I can like. In the non-high gain world I love the Alessandro AZZ series, Ronin and Gjika and some Ronin models are high gain beasts

I also found in the last few years some modern guitars I love including Marchione, Tao and Deimel. Some recent pedals by Peace Hill are great. There is some good new stuff out there in places, but you gotta find it lol. Won't be for everyone, but actually also really like the new MXR Yngwie pedal for ripping, nasty grind

Dont you cuss me with that low gain talk
If it makes you feel better the DAZZ as a 200w KT88 hi-fi clean machine can also make for a killer dist pedal platform that moves lots of air. The Gjika gets very dirty, but in a beautiful bluesy, classic rock, saggy kind of way as do Ronin's, but their high gain amp model also kills

getting all tgp up in here...

Didn't realize Monomyth was San Antonio.

The Gjika stuff I've heard was amazing but it wasn't high gain, pardon my french, lol. I just figured I would never be able to afford something like that. Most 3-D amp I ever heard.

Thanks, mate! As I'm typing this, I'm designing the panels and front grill for our 3-channel Octane. The prototype I built inside my old JCM800 head is already running, but I'm trying to create something nice looking for the production version.

It is a GREAT time, since we still have great vintage AND new Tube amps to choose from. Hopefully that won't change; but if it does, it'll all be digital and that will be a sad time. Except for all of us, who will still have great tube amp options at home.
