We know, Priest I'd legit af. From sad wings to their later stuff and in between. One of the sonically loudest and most brutal shows I've ever seen was British steel in its entirety. The amout of sound coming off the stage was so punishing people had to move to the side to deal with the amount of power the fans were dealt that day.

Priest is awesome... 4 hole JCM800's and treble boosters. Sad the way they treated KK but doesn't change the legacy.

I think the album that made me a full on metalhead and became my gateway for the heavier stuff was Unleashed in the East! I remember listening to that on my walkman as my folks drove us to Disneyland in HS!

Screaming for vengeance stands today as a testament to their legacy. Love that album. Halford is tops. Sounds like a prehistoric bird live.
To me, Free wheel burning is the most balls to the wall song ever recorded. just a beast
different album i know...;)

That is very familiar. Same story here pretty much, I think it was the first album I ever bought, and I stand by that choice as a great choice.

One of those killer albums with every song being awesome from start to finish. KK and Tipton are both sadly underrated.

I wonder if it were only one of them if either would have been properly rated? Just having two of them probably didn’t help their ‘rating’.

Saw them in 1980. Halford came out on a Harley that was loud as shit. It had to have been mic'd thru the PA. Then he sprayed the audience with a Machine Gun (also really loud!) Triumph opened.

You mean 1980.

I also would like to point out how incredible Priest was and how trail blazing they were. I mean the riffage and even the lead playing for it's time. KK and Glenn were always trying to improve AND keeping up with their peers. Those two guys were bringing the heat on Ram it Down and Painkiller. The lead playing is awesome. Full of fast sweeps, arpeggios, fast runs and rippin' trade offs. Nothing but respect for these guys.

Absolutely.

Just saw Priest at POWERTRIP last weekend.
They were AMAZEBALLS!! :rawk:

They set the bar LONG ago and arguably some of the best METAL still seeps from the veins of JUDAS PRIEST.
Halford was excellent and Glenn joined in for the last tunes. Ritchie Faulkner is the real deal.
It was a great show, lots of hits, a couple off the FirePower album-including the title track, and a couple older cuts like Desert Plains and Metal Gods. I definitely enjoyed the show...although I will submit that the OP's video may have been PEAK.

my friend’s band used to do a killer cover of this one in high school

bought screaming for vengeance the day it hit the shelves and saw the tour. that was peak priest for me.

but this wasn’t bad either!
