I played through Dan's (bbaug14) new MOD50 and the EG5 is heavier than Godzilla's balls. I was playing an LP into the MOD50 into a Madison 4x12 loaded with Warehouse V30s and the amp actually grew arms, legs, teeth and horns, got up and left our practice space to devour Dual Rectifiers. Seriously. It actually said, "Excuse me" as it lumbered past me. It was surprisingly polite. I was ripping through Pantera licks on channel A like it was my job and I could feel my pants getting tight. Anyone who thinks Rectumfryers are "uber" heavy need to have their panties dropped by the EG5. I know I'm pretty much preaching to the choir here but anyone who doesn't like the EG5 doesn't know what they're looking for in heavy tone. Well, at least they haven't figured out what they should be looking for. I'm sure the Erect module works great with the SL2 and blah blah blah. The EG5 leaves chunks of Mesa Boogies in its stool. Try to see the light. Until then your heavy tone will simply be "less than".

That's all. Carry on.

I should be finding out REAL soon.....

(Jeff, email me when your ready to go! )

I love it. I just finished yet another neighbor vexing volley of EG5. There is an ungodly amount of punch in this module. By far still my favorite. Channel 2 is simply incendiary for leads. I figured that I would be compromising something at first with the shared EQ but this is simply not the case. Channel B is a bit rounder and is tailor made for lead work. The guys at Egnater really hit a home run with this one.

Couldn't agree more. It was/is amazing. I love the EG5. Smokes Mesa's!

Yep, EG5 is THE high gain module for sure!!! Its a killer!
