Not a booster of amps normally, but thinking of giving this one a try just to experiment and have some fun. I am drawn to the 33 primarily as it seems to a nice tight "clank" to palm mutes (from the vids I have watched) and because of it's simplicity and because it is a true "clean boost" to the signal (without added distortion). What have been your experiences with it? Thanks!!!

I have a DIY clone of the 33 that I really like with my Dual Rectifier. If you are in for the 33, have a look at the peppers dirty tree. It`s a 33 clone with the switchable option to engage an EQ or to just leave it in the 33 mode. And it comes with a much better price.

The Pepers Dirty tree is a better version of the Fortin 33. It also cost like $130. I’ve had one for years and it’s great.

I built a clone .... PedalPCB has a Fortin 33/Grind PCB .... I guess the only difference between the two actual pedals is a different value on one resistor ... so they just have them both on a switch ....
pretty cool circuit / pedal

I also have a dirty tree. Pedal slays. I wouldn’t recommend it for higher tunings. Stuff below d standard and below though, there’s nothing better imo.
