Depending on the cab, I run WGS Reapers, WGS ET-65 or Celestion K100s. I think all 3 would deliver that. The K100s are the brightest, have a huge bottom end and are tight with a nice mid grind. The ET-65s have the best low mid grind, nice low end and rolled off highs, though they are very loose sounding. The Reapers are somewhere between the two. They have a big bottom end, are pretty tight, real nice low mid grind, a little darker sounding than the other two, stay pretty tight and have a nice rolled off high end.

Eminence George Lynch Super V12

This thing chews up and spits out the G12-100Ks at least it did on my FL cab and my ISO box.

Let me clarify, I want something with a lot of character, otherwise I'm happy with my EVM12Ls, so something like GK100 won't work for sure.

oh, NOW I get why Hetfield was trying the Hempcone speakers and according to Peter S. he liked them A LOT.

btw, how come the hempcone speakers are great for low end growl and also great for cleans and blues?

Hemp cone speakers keep clean @ high volume so they don't break up. So they end up being smooth warm & clean. Also because the hemp is thicker than paper & more rigid it dulls the top end somewhat. In a way I like.
Personally if you want a paper speaker to dynamically kick your ass the Eminence v12 Lynch super is fantastic.
For hemp that has great tone, the Eminence Cannibas Rex is great.
I also like the Texas Heat for tone & breakup.
