well if thr Thru concept is the same as in midi, what it does is allows you to connect other amps through it right?

does anyone use the Thru input on their VH4?

Yes, I use it a lot, it's very useful, but I like the quality of my Lehle better. It's not an input, it's an output actually.

so while operating the Vh4 I can come out of the thru with a standard guitar cord and into the front panel input of another amp?

Leave it to Diezel to have such a cool option!.... I do notice while running both amps on full gain channels, my Bogner has quit a "hiss" that is not present during normal input methods. I am assumimg it's the nature of the beast when using the "Thru"?

that's why I use my lehle in studio. that said the thing is still very good, I wish my Herbert had one too.

I had been meaning to look up just exactly the thru was in the manual but haven't gotten around to it. So at least now I know. Is the thru-put always on when you have something connected? I imagine yes - but I'm out of town and can't try the thru myself ATM.

Yes it's always on - I still can't believe how useful this is! It's like double dipping tone. This is crazy
