I don't quite get what "stereo" mean on a single speaker cabinet? How would you hook it up? What's it do for you? Could you run the stereo output of effects pedals into it?

Just curious. Thanks!

A TM212 has 2 speakers. You can run into each input and switch it to stereo blending 2 tones. 2 amps blending, 1 stereo amp with stereo chorus or other stereo effects like a Roland Jazz Chorus. Many options.

Use Mono input switched to Mono and the one input is running in both speakers.

welll....a TM212 has 2 speakers...not one single speaker. I use a 2x12 w/ 2 amps (or a stereo power amp) and run my effects in stereo. So panners are in stereo...my ping pong delays ....ping pong from L to R speaker...my choruses and flanges move from speaker to speaker creating this huge wide and thick tone.

To do stereo...you need either 2 amps...or stereo power section. I personally use the preamp from one amp...and feed it into all of my rack gear (which is stereo) and run the main output of my rig into the returns of 2 of my amps (or a stereo power amp).

That's what I thought. In stereo it is like two separate speakers in one cabinet. But you need either two amps or a stereo power amp. You WOULDN"T do something like connect the stereo outputs of an effects pedal right into it which, as I think about it, wouldn't have enough power to power a speaker anyway.

It's likehow the stereo chorus works in the JC-120, right? The chorusing effect bounces back and forth between the two speakers.

Correct

OK, but having the 4212 combo- There wouldn't be much point in getting this, at least for the stereo, because the 4212 does not have a stereo power amp, correct?

I never found stereo to do much in one cab. I thikn you need two separate cabs.

I Do stereo in one cab or two and even in one cab stereo sounds awesome. So I couldn't disagree more. The stereo spread is better with two cabs. But it sounds awesome with just one 2 or 412.

I agree with Eric- The fender modelling amp= I forget the name- has some stereo effects in one 2 x 12 cab that sounded good to me. JC 120 also. Having said that, separate cabs would get you wider stereo, but with this you could do it with one cab- less to haul around.
