Guys,

My band is more and more frequently getting crammed into real small rooms where stage volume is way low. Mostly playing 80's - 90's heavy rock. Is my best option to get good crunch, controllable feedback and all the other goodies to turn the power grids on my distortion channels to 10watts, crank the master volume then use my channel volumes to get my levels?

Any other thoughts on tackling this dilemma?

thanks!

I think you basically have it, yeah. The power grid doesn't affect the output volume so much. It is more affecting how hard the amp is working. Lower wattage definitely gives you more crunch, sustain, and overdrive. Less headroom, so the amp works harder.

:D :D

I run mine in 10 to 20 watts all the time in the smaller rooms and Bruce designed this amp to sound smoking at those settings with lower volumes. You will love it and should get all the tone you need doing the 10 to 20 watt modes man.
