Serious balls there. I really REALLY liked it for heavy stuff.

They had a VH4next to and it sounded, well just like my VH4. BALLSY, BIG, but I was really really surprised with the Hagen. It's like a VH4 with more crunch and sharper. I actually preferred it to the VH4.

Extremely good amp!

Now I need to try the Dmoll

Yes, it's awesome! Imagine having one standing around at home but no cab to connect it to :(

I preferred it to the VH4. I bought the Hagen first and then the VH4. Although I was combining amps, I found myself dialing in more Hagen than the VH4. So I replaced the VH4 with another Hagen as back up.

Its a phenomenal amplifier than does HEAVY as well as good cleans and Marshall style crunch on Channel 2.

I drive my lead sounds with a Maxon OD-808 with the output all the way up, gain at 0 and use the tone to shape the sound.

Its THE AMP for all my needs.

The Diezel fanbois will chastise you for using a boost with YOUR Diezel. I say if it sounds good it is good. Whatever works!

Hagen channel three with an OD 808 out front set to clean boost is the shit

Interesting point - i tried the Hagen and felt no need to boost it, at least not to get a tight low end. On my Mesa Roadster, a boost was required to get it as tight as the Hagen was without one.

I'm guilty of using my Mk.4:23 Pro on the Hagen... But I'm guilty of using that boost on everything :D

Well they can go ahead. The boost comes in handy depending on venues. Some dampen amps and some don't.

Fanbois are just that. Fanbois! I don't buy my gear by brand but by what it does for my playing. If fanbois are going to chastise someone for tone chasing, they aren't serious about the art of music but serious about the ownership of a brand.

I had no intention on buying a Diezel. I just called up to demo them and the Hagen delivered the sounds I was hearing so I bought one! That was during Mesa Mark V ownership.

I have a Tube Screamer and an EP Booster out front of my D-Moll.
It is true the Diezels do not NEED boost.
I use my main tones without, but the 2 boosts give me more Tonal Variety.
The 2 of them allow me to take my clean channel to a Bluesy riffing with the EP and a Gilmour Or SRV screaming Fender Solo Tone. The TS also allows a mid-boost that I like for solos sometimes.
