Ok, stupid question. Did the Rocktron TOL 100 head ship with 6l6 or EL34's? This one I'm checking out has 6L6's.

EL34s, although i have wondered how 6Ls would do in there becuse the clean tone is great w/ ELs and the 6L could even be more fendery??
and the brighter 6L could add some interesting zip to the dirt??

If that's the case I wonder if the amp can be biased properly with the 6l6's in it, or did the previous owner just not know any better.

6L6 or EL34 will work fine. The Rocktron models originally shipped with EL34. Get the schematic from schematicheaven.com. Locate the 1 ohm resistors in the cathodes of each pair of output tubes. Measure the DC voltage across the resistors and adjust the trim pot for about 70mVDC. That translates to ~35mV(mA) per tube if they are closely matched.
