Anyone using these with Greenbacks?? Or Scumbacks...I just got some from Frank this last week. Wanted to see how some of you are using them???

I have one installed inside the screen on a 10" combo. I was using two layers with a Weber copy of the Celestion Vintage 10, cause it was so bright and beamy in the middle. Later, I put a real old Celestion Vintage 10 in there and took one layer out.

I installed it inside the combo by using a half inch length of toothpick and a short piece of elastic. One end of the elastic is tied to the toothpick, and the other end sewn with black thread to the inside of the screen. Just feed the toothpick through the hole in the middle of the disc and, once it is on the other side, turn it 90 degrees and let go. Works great. You'd never know the disc is in there looking from the front.

I wouldn't think you would need to use these with greenbacks, but I don't know. If the tone gets brighter as you move directly in front of the speaker, then use it.

I use Scumback M55 Greenbacks with an open back Germino cab, and use Weber beam blockers ...same sort of thing....Greenbacks can be bright. They help, but still it can sound weird in spots......I really want to try the foam donut hole thing one day...It's supposed to work the best.....You basically find 1" foam and cut it out to the size of the speaker hole behind the grill cloth...you cut a 2" hole in the middle...then you glue the foam to the inside of the grill, and make sure it's not touching the speaker........It's supposed to sound amazing
