Or something else? What say you brethren? I’m thinking something just for using at home for recording and tinkering….my computer is to glitchy so I need a hardware solution….

Tone X sounds as good as any of them. Probably has the best feel.

If I bought something else it would be a Fractal FM3.

tone x one into my ms3....then into reaper....that should be simple right?

^ I think this is the play. I have the big tonex and the full plugin and use the plugin for all practicing and recording. As long as the SE version gives you access to the community models (which it looks like it does) that is all you need.

I've had my eye on that. I heard the software can be a little quirky but not sure.

Like Stephen said, the FM3 is actually what I'm looking into getting down the road.

Something particular you don't like about it ?

Most people seem to be fine with it. But certainly not for everyone.
Sonically it’s good. As opposed to AxeFX the license is tied to the user not the device. I can’t bring the ToneX to buddies house and demo the pedal in his studio on his MAC. I got mine when it first came out. Very buggy and no updates. When I sold mine, I had to purchase a transfer license. Axefx, anyone can download and use the software and just connect it
