Took the XTC for spin last night!

We had an impromptu house party we played at last night. We have kind of take it easy through the holidays so we were a bit cold.

At any rate decided to bring the XTC out and see how she did . I’ve been running a Sig X live for awhile. We played in a RV garage and it took us some time to get the mix some what right plus we were all enjoying the party!

Anyways, here are couple vids clams and all!!





 
I approve of all the songs. Sounds pretty good and your tone sits in the mix well. My old band used to cover "Would?" as well and you played it pretty good and I like your solo in it, but the outro riff is off by a little bit and your tempo is a little fast. The ending palm muted part is played like this, the low E is just droning the whole time:

-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0

The bass plays this on the E string:

-0-0-9-7-0-10-7-0-9-0-7-0-9-0

Thanks for the feedback. We were certainly a bit loose! But we were having a good time!

I don’t know what version you had. This one me is an early version “96” with the Mercury iron. I have had a few versions and this one is certainly my favorite!!

Mine was newer, ‘08 I think, the guy I bought it from said it had the red channel mod. Are your vids exclusively the red channel?

I use the blue channel for all the rhythms slightly boosted using a Fractal Boost similar to an 808.

That’s how I run mine as well. Blue channel boosted is my rhythm and then I switch to red channel boosted for a master solo/gain boost and then back to blue channel.

Well, to be honest , this certainly wasn’t the right scenario to judge. We could hardly hear each other. We were all lined up and nothing was mic’d other than the vocals which were way out in front of mix. But I will say, I liked what I was hearing for the most part. I’ll give it another go at our next proper venue gig, which is soon.

Yeah Blue channel just has those chewy mids!!
