Thought this was an interesting video. Deezer says over 10,000 songs per day uploaded is AI generated, That sounds crazy. Imagine Spotify and others, it must be staggering how much AI generated is being uploaded.

I’m afraid to upload anything I write, anywhere, because it will immediately get stolen.

There is software in the works that allows you to overlay something on your stereo file that makes it so AI goes haywire when depicting the audio, yet it is inaudible to the human ear. Stuff like that is only a temporary band-aid though.

Its more than a million new songs uploaded on the internet every day. I'm surprised it's not more than 10,000 AI.

I upload anything I am involved with for free. No one pays much if anything for music anymore.

I don't know anyone that would pay to listen to music.

AI already creates better music than any of us. It will soon replace your job too.

We already knew these things for 10+ years. It has certainly taken place faster than I thought it would, though

10,000 per day was only Deezer's numbers, which is a small streaming service, not Spotify or any others. Can only imagine the totals across the interwebs...

It was interesting to see in @Monkey Man's thread a while back, there are people on this forum that have worked in AI for a long time. Judging from that thread, we are talking to infant/toddlers right now. Wait till it's potty trained.

Reportedly $10B last year man, serious money.
i'd need to see data on that claim... i'm sure it's the same old story, the top 1% get 99% of the royalty money and no other bands really get anything

A lot of drummers were worried about programmed drums replacing them (in studio situations) Until now, it has helped to avoid them… but if a drummer learns how to sample replace and program, it only adds to their tool kit. Also, an actual drummer would be able to program drums much much better than midi libraries.

I am curious if AI will have that kind of effect. It’s already here, but what kind of utility will it have and more importantly, where is the line drawn from what a person actually writes vs what AI writes.

For instance, when I make drum beats, I never use libraries and I always manually add the midi notes. If I drag and drop a library, it just doesn’t feel like it’s something I created at all because… I didn’t… but I don’t know what others do
