Hello,

I'm a brand new adopter of the T-CAB, and I am over the moon at how it sounds and feels when using it with my POD HD. I connect the T-CAB in the fx loop, and for the most part it's a painless process to get the proper gain staging from one unit to the other...although I do wish there was a more detailed way of monitoring input clipping.

I don't always have easy access to a computer, and I may be an oddity in that I actually prefer creating tones away from the computer, directly on the device. Torpedo remote software has a beautiful LED bar for monitoring the input signal into the T-CAB, and I would love to have one on the CAB itself - using the letter blocks in the LED display... I imagine holding A while pressing B and voilà! Input bar meter. I mentioned it in my letter to Père Noël   I promise to be good until Christmas!

The best you can do is up the gain on the POD's send until the CAB"s Clip Indicator lights, then back it off just enough for it to stop etc.

you could connect the Torpedo via USB to a computer and use the Remote software (free) to visualize the levels so that you have a reference point for using the POD + Torpedo when a computer isn't available or necessary. Guillaume and the team are always monitoring all the threads so I am sure they will note your suggestion. The Remote isn't making up this data so it must exist within the Torpedo.

Thanks for the suggestions - I have connected the CAB to the remote software, and got a rough starting point to tweak the levels from the POD's send when away from a computer - and the clip LED helps too, but the way it lights up for 2 seconds no matter how hard I hit the input makes me wish for more detail...the transient levels from POD's preamp models vary wildly from clean to overdriven and I'd like to achieve the optimal input gain staging for each patch when tweaking on-the-go. Appreciate the input, and hoping for some feedback from the designers...

Actually we have something like that we used during development (using the main display as a double bargraph in & out).

Some limitations of the display refresh rate tends to make it not really nice to look at, but we will definitely try to find a solution, that's an interesting option we could have on both C.A.B. and Live.

Fantastic - thanks for your consideration! Allez les bleus!
