Torpedo CAB Power Supply Issue?

I just bought a new Topedo CAB and so far I'm loving it...except, the power input is extremely sensitive in that if I bump it or touch it, it shorts out and then I have to jiggle or turn the power supply cable so that it turns on again.

Anyone having similar issues or do I have fault?

Hi jferla,

sorry about your issue, could you please tell me if you think the issue is at the connector (inside the CAB) or on the PSU cable?

It could well be a faulty cable, that could have been somehow damaged for whatever reason.

Thanks G. It's hard to say. I have noticed the following two things;

The tip of the supply can move from side to side whilst plugged into the unit. So its not as locked in as other similar equipment/pedals. (Although this is not totally unusual, but worth nothing)

The tip does not push all the way into the unit. This also isn't so unusual (but worth noting)

These are the only two things I can say which may be having an impact.

I am in Australia, so I assume the local supplier is left with finding a suitable local power supply?

Oh OK, the Torpedo CAB we send to Australia does not have our power supply, they are purchased by the Australian distribution and to be honest I've never seen them.

It would be cool to give the distributor a feedback and simply ask for a replacement unit.

This said, having the connector not entering completely or some room for movement does not seem to be a defect. Only if the connection is not perfectly ensured.

Thanks Guillaume.
I will ask for a replacement. I just hope that the replacement is different from this one. Its not a good thing if only a slight touch shorts out the unit.
Not very stage worthy if that's the case. Let's see what feedback I get.
Will let you know.
Thanks for the replies.

The Australian distributor is aware of the situation and a solution has been offered, you'll tell me if it matches your expectations. ;)
