My band went into the studio last week to record 5 new songs. Brought my Torpedo Live to see how it would work in a real studio environment. Till now, I had just used it for my home studio ideas. Anyway, when we layed down the basic tracks, I played through the Two notes for scratch tracks with my Germino Masonette. I didn't dial anything in or even care about the tone. The engineers thought it sounded good, but when we started laying guitar tracks, we went with actual mic'd speaker cabinets. Fast foward to the day I am supposed to lay down solos. I still had not completely worked out my ideas, so I told the engineer that I wanted to lay down a scratch idea for the solo and we should just use the Torpedo live for now. Well, I plugged my brand new Kauer Banshee into the my Tophat Emplexador and dialed up the "weber1" impulse response that I downloaded from the Two Notes Exchange. Its an IR of a weber legacy. Well it sounded killer and the scratch solo went so well, I did one punch and it was done. We dug the tone so much, we went back to another tune and completely redid one of my guitar tracks that I had used a real speaker cabinet on. He is a quick I phone video I did. This is not even mixed yet. No delay, compression, anything. Just had the engineer play it back. I wanted to post it because you mostly see the Torpedo with high gain amps and not a lot of "plexis".

Sounds great. I love playing low gain through the TL into DAW with a bit of verb. Sooo expressive, clear and lovely.
