Hi All:
I have acquired a Torpedo Studio rack intended for European mains voltage, supplied with the European mains supply cord, that I intend to use in the US. Often, there is an easy way provided to change a switch position that swaps around primary input windings on the power supply transformer to accommodate 240v or 120v mains. This does not appear to be true with this unit.
The unit itself has clearly printed under the mains input on the back panel that it can accept 100v to 240v AC. However, the user's manual shows the power supply input voltage as 185v to 264v. I am not inclined to risk damaging the unit, so am buying an inexpensive step-up transformer. Does anyone know if this unit can run properly directly on 120v AC?
Thanks, Jim
