Toumaster GT Preamp tubes - Are they JJ's?

JJ's or Sovteks. I actually called Egnater after I bought my rebel because it came with JJ's in the power section and Sovteks's in the pre instead of GT's. The guy I talked to said that they're using JJ's & Sovteks now because of Fender buying GT and the fact that it's more cost effective to do their own tube testing in house instead of farming it out to GT. He also let me know that even though the "paint" on some of the tubes says GT, they're actually JJ's. Go figure. Here's the response I got regarding my situation...

Jeff's Response -
The GT's were JJ's with the Gt logos only. We then stopped using GT because of their sale to Fender and the fact that the GT testing was not worth the cost in our minds. So they have always been JJ"s in the power section and were JJ's at first in the pre amp but are now Sovteks.

ALL Groove Tube tubes are basically someone else's tubes, that they test, and slap their logo on. 100% not worth the money.

And Groove Tube's pre-packed "specially tuned" triplets of tubes... what a scam. It's just a combo of either chinese, russian, or yugoslavian tubes in different orders. The SAME EXACT tubes that you can get anywhere else.

I'll pay someone else to test them. Doug from Doug's tubes, Mike from KCANOS, etc.

*****NOTE: for a while, GT WAS making an exclusive Mullar copy preamp tube, which was supposed to be amazing, but is now discontinued.
