Tourmaster 4100 head power trans replacement?

I have been using Egnater tourmater 4100 head in my studio. And it's got great tone and features.
A couple of days ago the fuse was blown while I was playing.
So I went to local repair shop to check what the problem is. The tech guy told me that
power transformer is dead and it needs to be replaced.

I'm wondering where to buy the power transformer and how much it would cost.
Should I replace it to the original part? Or can I replace it to other power trans?

Please help!!!

explain situation. he'll tell you to pull the old one, and when he gets it, he'll send a new one.
mine was free, as im assuming this is a common problem.

it's the big round "power plant" PT just in case you were wondering. it's not hard to remove and replace. i documented mine with a diagram and some video and pics.
took about a half hour to get the old one out and 45 mins to get the new one in.

Well..if it is a common problem then the replacement with the same one could cause the same problem again.
Anyway hope I can get a new one like you did.
 
my understanding is that they upgraded the new versions. i haven't heard of any replacement PTs having issues.

i would get it pulled and sent, send with tracking too. something i wish i did, pay for the shipping back to yourself and ask them to ship it back in the box you send it in. i packed mine pretty well...and, well, i got the new one sent back in this shape. it also took about a month total..

Bullshit (not to you YETI) They did not give me a new one told me to pay $299 because I couldn't get a piece of paper to prove I bought it. Go read all of my post then bash the shit out of them every chance you get so they may be beat out of business.
 
wow. my understanding was they would replace all of them due to the high failure rate of the old ones. good GOD what is going on?
