OK everyone I am posting some pictures of the two guitarists from a local band that was in my studio recording all day long. Put in a 12 hour day so I am beat but wanted to post the pics. I don't have any sound samples yet because we went at it so late. Recorded all the bed tracks and rhythm guitars, Lead guitars on 9 songs so far and four vocals with 5 more to go.
I was getting killer tones for this band out of the Egnater tourmaster 4100 head and the Randall NXT cabinets. They were floored by the tone and one of the guys said he is sold on getting an Egnater head. I told him he will never look back after he goes Egnater. Won't be long before the other guitarist will want one as well.
I will get some links up to a few snippets of their songs as soon as I can get some seat time mixing and mastering them. I want to have two songs done for them by two weeks time. I normally would be able to do this in a week easily but this is after all Christmas week coming up so I have a lot of family stuff.
So please check back in a week or so and I will have them up with the bands permission already given to me as the songs are all copy wrote.
Here are a few of the pics from today's studio sessions. By the way you will notice there is no Mic in front of the Randall cabinet that the head is sitting on. I was merely using that cabinet to get the head off the floor. We have 6 total ISO booths in our studio plus the big live room where they were actually playing.
The glass window just above my eggie head is the ISO booth that the other Randall cabinet is in using pass through jacks to connect the speaker outs from the head to the actual cabinet. It is the only way to record a whole band at once but allow everyone to be in the same room to vibe off each other.
