I love my Tourmaster, but have any of you guys had quality issues with it? Friday getting ready for the first set and the speaker out jack basically cracked and the metal nut just fell out. This is the 3rd on the has fallen off (input on front and effects return also fell out on their own).

Since the speaker one is craked, any suggestions on how to fix it without sending my head back to the Egnater guys?

As I said, I love the head but am somewhat dissapointed in the craftsmanship for something that cost $1600.

Hmm... not good. This is the first I've heard of this, on these forums. You said 3 of them broke on you already?

I'm not trying to come across as a jerk at ALL, but are you sure you're not being too rough on the jacks?

Whether I'm playing thru a $100 or $3K amp, I always wrap the cables thru the handle, THEN into the jack. (same principle as wrapping the guitar cable thru your strat before you plug it in...)

I've seen your same problem happen to all of my former bandmates, who used marshalls, carvins, etc. Just plugged in and let the cable dangle. That downward pressure always messed up their jacks and they eventually failed.

Don't worry I don't think you are being a jerk :) The two previous ones that fell off actually happened while I was driving with the amp to a gig.

The one last Friday was during soundcheck. Granted it wasnt wrapped, but it was a small 3 foot cable and I am definitely not rough on it. I just found it odd that the plastic actually broke. It just seems they weren't properly tightened at the manufacturing end, and for that money I was a bit surprised.

But, I will start wrapping my cables and being more careful. I am guessing a local guy could replace that speaker jack for a small price.

Yeah, I feel your pain man. I've been thru the broken-jack thing one too many times, and it sucks.

I'm sure it's a simple repair that any local tech worth his salt could do.

They do rattle loose now and then which makes them prone to breakage.I have OCD and make sure everything is tight

I used my Tourmaster now for a year as a practice and live gigging amp...no jack issues, but you gotta make sure you don't step on the 1/4" instrument cable..the one to the amp, and the 2 FX loop ones/...I put the instrument cord over the top of head, going thru the handle....
