Tourmaster 4100 Questions

I am very interested in this amp because of the powergrid feature. But I have some questions. I have seen that the E2 will be able to integrate with the Mod50 but have not seen any reference to the 4100. So will the E2 be able to be used as 2 extra channels with the 4100?

Also, the reason I ask is that everything I have read on the 4100 says that the clean channels are voiced like a JTM, but I am looking for a Bassman sound. Is there a setting that achieves this tone with the stock 4100? I see in the manual that Channel 1 on Modern with the contour at 3:00 gets an "American" tone. But is that Twin, Deluxe or Bassman?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I dont see why the E2 would not work with Tourmaster. I believe the only requirement is a series FX loop.

What Matt said, the E2 can be integrated to any head with a series effects loop.

If using the Series loop, wouldn't you be going from one preamp to another and then into the poweramp? Seems that would color the sound of the E2 with Tourmasters Channel 1.

Am I incorrect on this?

the E2 will have a way to bypass the amp's preamp, so you would be able to use the E2 in the return of the effects loop, or bypass the E2 and use the amp like normal.

Great news. Thanks for the feedback. So now I know I can get that Bassman sound by adding an E2 and BMAN Module.

In the mean time, anybody have any advice on how to get as close to this sound as possible with the Tourmasters built in channels?

Get a BB preamp and overdrive Channel 1.

Thanks for the feedback. Should have known it would be another 200 bucks down the GAS highway. But looks like BB is a great little box, looking forward to trying it out with the 4100.
