Do it! Do it! Do it!

... and then report back with vids! :D

I sold my DSL50 and maybe even my Shiva (waiting to hear back on that one.) So I'm on the hunt for two heads. Thinking about a single channel Splawn for the '80s hard rock tones and a Tourmaster for more of a "boutique'ish" do-it-all amp.

There's a chance I'll leave here in a few minutes to get that one I played on yesterday, so I can use it at a gig tonight. I can always return it if it doesn't work out.

Also, at least one of the local Guitar Centers has $200 off the head this weekend only. Maybe they're all doing that? Probably... So that's $1,299.

You sold the Shiva??? I thought you were totally digging that amp?

You should get a MOD50 and play around with all of the Eggie mods!

Dude, you are too much!! Hopefully you'll dig it.

You really should try a Mod 50 sometime as well.

Let us know!!!

Yea, I recently picked up a 4100 and I run it through my VHT FB212 cab. It sound awesome....I was shocked to read such rotten reviews on the forums...

Im pretty sure I remember Jeff saying something about some cap changes or something that they made to the dirty channels, hopefully he can clarify.

All I can say is wow about this amp. I got mine tonight and used it for the first time in my recording studio's live room with my band. This amp is a monster. I never played one before this but I can say, in our style of European Metal, the bottom end is spanking tight on this.

Everyone in the band about crapped a brick at the tone from this monster. Then they told me it was loud as heck and I had to tell them I was actually running on the 10 watt mode. Our singer actually had to look at the power grid because he didn't believe me.    He had a goofy look on his face when he saw I was telling the truth about the 10 watt mode ripping like that.

It is hands down the best sounding amp I have ever owned. I have some pictures the guys took tonight of me jamming through it but I have not received those yet. I had my wife take these two pics after I got her home and out of the road case.

To Bruce, Jeff, and John thanks for all the hard work you guys do for all of us and thanks a million for building the best amps in the world. I will just never switch to another brand after hearing the tone from your stuff. Want to do the Mod 50 someday just to add to the soon growing collection. Awesome amp guys.

By the way I brought it home to rewire the effects case and reset all my effects to work with her voicing over the Randall head I have passed down to my son. He will be an Eggie user as well because he loved playing through this one at our Guitar Center. He may only be 14 but he has an ear for good tone and he flat shreds on the guitar.

Once I get her a tad more dialed in and get the effects changed to work with her voicing I will be back in my studio shooting some tracks for a few of our songs on the next album we are finishing up the writing for. I will be sure to post the monster tone I am getting from this amp as soon as I get these clips recorded.

Might be after January first because of how busy the holidays are getting but it will be worth the wait to hear this monster after being tracked in the studio.

By the way this amp is being played through a full stack of two Randall RS412NXT cabinets that use the Neyodemium speakers. I just took the Randall emblems off of them since we are no longer endorsed by them and are switching over to all Eggie gear. Just in case anyone wondered what speakers I was using.

Here is one from last nights practice session at the studio.

Well got the effects rack all wired up and dialed in for the New Eggie and it sounds killer. Now I just need to get some tracks laid down. I hope to do that this coming Saturday since I will be in the studio recording a band already. ;) ;)

The more I play this amp the happier I get having joined the Egnater family.

Glad you are having success! Welcome to the family and if there is anything I can do please let me know!

Which speakers are you using? Celestion 12 Centuries?

Eric

Eric they are using the Celestion G12 Centuries in the cabinets. Something that Randall is not offering in the NXT cabinets anymore last time I looked. Heard it was due to cost. They list out at celestion for like 390 bucks a speaker. Last I checked Mucisians Friend sold them in the 260 to 290 dollar range depending on sales. Now I know why the cabinets are freaking 1400 bucks a pop.

Boy are they light weight though and I like that with giging out all the time. :D :D

Call me lazy if you must.

We should do a "tone party" sometime. I've got like 15 speakers...a mod50 and a m4 ...and i'd like to jam on your G12c's :).

OOOoooOOO a tone party. :emofag: :grim: :gay: :inlove:

Well we are getting ready to host another tone party at my recording studio in Pekin, Illinois. There will be a hand built Lancaster amp there maybe two Lancasters total, a couple Splawn's each in a different variant, a voodoo custom build, a Hughes and Kettner triamp, some Fender Metal head that I can't remember the model of, a boogie mark III or IV can't remember for sure and of course my new Eggie.

There will be 3 or 4 of our NXT cabinets, avatar cabinets, marshall cabinets, and a couple voodoo cabinets. Should be about 5 to 8 people from around here for sure who want to test all of this stuff out. This will be the second tone party we have held at my recording studio.

Once I get an official date we are going to do this I will let you all know. We usually have tables set up with food and soda and just have a great day of jamming and cranking amps up. Look forward to some of you being able to make it to this for sure.

I didn't realize you're in Peoria. We're actually having an Ampfest this upcoming Saturday in Waterloo, Illinois. What is that a 3 hour drive for you or something? You're more than welcome to come down if you get the chance. Late notice, I know.

Yeah, I'm near Peoria (40-45 minute drive east on I74) About a 3 hour drive to St Louis down I55 for me.

Let me know if you have another one. I am heading home on Saturday for Christmas unfortunately :(. I would LOVE to come to an amp jam for sure!
