Hi all,

I am considering buying a new Tourmaster 4100. From what I have read here and there it seems the earlier editions of this amp had some problems. Are things better now with this model? I am not a big fan of buying amps made in china, this will be my first time I have bought an amp not made in America or the UK. I just cannot deny how good the 4100 sounds. I guess what I am looking for is a little reassurance that its ok to proceed. What kinda warranty does the 4100 come with? How is Egnator when is comes to customer service and warranty issues? Hoping a few of you with recent 4100 experience could chime in. Thanks in advance...

Scott

Im in the same boat as you, except i ordered a Renegade. I think the website says 90 day warranty on speakers and tubes, 3 years on the rest. Interested to hear opinions on customer service and claims...

Had my 4100 for 4 years now. Love the thing.....I dont gig mine never have never will. It is in permanet installation in my studio. Never had single problem with it. However it has been back to Egnater for the M-mod. At that time I dealt with John Ewing, who is no longer there. I also have one of the first Rebel 30 combos. It had the rattling and then the fading XLR problem. Those got handled by Nate.

All of my problems got fixed, under warranty in a timely and professional manner. I even received emails from Ian, and Bruce himself as follow up. The one from Bruce on Thanks Giving day. Talk about a surprise.

The last time I dealt with service on a few tube questions I talked with some young dude, I think his name was Hans. Not nearly as personalbe or forth-coming as John or Nate had been.

Just finished this track. All guitars are through the 4100. Tracks are a combo of mic'ed TM 212 cab and using the 4100 direct out through a DI.

P.S. The DI out on the 4100 is NOT balanced. You will need a decent DI to get rid of the noise.
