Is there any difference between the Tourmaster cabinets and the cabinets that I could get from Egnater? if so what is the difference? How much is the 4 x 12 from Egnater?

From what I understand Egnater is going to stop making the 4x12 cabs because the GC stuff is pretty much the same and a bit cheaper. Just get the GC cabs.

Ya a bit of a cosmetic difference and there are no "tone Bras" on the GC cab. We will be selling aftermarket kit for them soon!

The GC 2x12 is coming soon. possible with the Rebel 1x12 and heads!

P.S. Tell me first .................Pleeeeeeeeeeeease :D

GC 4x12 right now on sale $599.00. $100.00 less

I own both slant and straight and dig them. I think the straight is much better sounding with no need for a bra.

The slant needs the tone bra:)

I want a 212 now

(glad this came up, I was just going to ask)
Any ETA on when those GC 2x12s will be available?.............

NOW!
My GC here in central fl had a few slant 4x12's so far, one of which I bought. I also saw the slant at GC in nashville recently.. I then ordered the straight cab and it took about 8 weeks for some reason. But it was worth it. I originally bought a marshall vintage 4x12(the purple one with greenbacks) and the eggie slant blew it away side by side. The GC eggie sounded like a real "already pre engineered/recorded" rock guitar. Sitting next to it, the marshall sounded kinda like (hate to say it, no offense intended)a toy next to it(using the same head and settings etc). To me the straight GC eggie 4x12 goes even a step further compared side by side. I am looking to putting a tone bra on the slant.

I believe he was asking about the 2x12, which is nice to know that will be offered

 A 212 version would be nice...

I gotta say, I'd drop by GC to pick up a 2X12 cab if it was there. That would be a must buy. I'm still sitting on $500 cash just waiting for the Rebel to show up. I played through the 4x12 and I thought it sounded excellent, and I am NOT a big V30 fan either. Must be something going on with the cab design & the Warehouse Speakers.

I' dont want to offend anyone here but I am using a Stone Age 2 x 12 C equipped with Celestion Heritage G12-65's with my Mod 50 and it is the best tone I have ever had. I compared it to the Egnater 4 x 12, as well as the Marshall and Mesa 4 x 12's, and I like my setup better. John at Stone Age finely tunes his cabinets, using top quaity birch and also has a fingerjointing process that makes the cab very solid. His cabs have a resonance that is hard to put into words, but my tone has never been better.

Egnater cabs are really great, but I found this combination to be the right one for me. John's cabs arent cheap. I paid 820 for my 2 x 12, 220 more than the Egnater 4 x 12. I am thinking about having John build me a 4 x 12. It will cost me between 900 and 1200, depending on my choice of speakers.

did you try the slant or the straight GC egnater cab? the straight really beats the pants off the slant IMO I own both

I've heard alot about those cabs. All good. As far as birch ply and finger (or box) joints are concerned, everyone does this and quite frankly, the finger joints don't do anything to contribute to the sound and as for strength, it's only marginally stronger than say, a rabet joint or good old fashioned butt-joint. It's just marketing hype. Class dismissed.
