Tourmaster Clips!

Well, the wife is gone for a few days, so it is just me and the cats tonight.

Pizza and beer at my place- Come on over!

The cats told me to record some Tourmaster clips and post them for the world.

Well, maybe it was the beer.

Anyway just having some fun-

It's just me noodling around. Friendly feedback always appreciated!

Yeah, it does sound a little weird in some spots. I really didn't put much effort into this, although in certain ways it was my first semi-serious attempt to record the Egnater.

The Strat was the hardest- very brittle sounding in the recorder- not what it sounded like in the room to my ears. I was amazed at how much just moving the mike around made a difference.

It's nothing of a signal chain- Guitar right into amp, an SM 57 about 2 inches in front of left speaker, a DBX stereo tube preamp into a Yamaha AW1600 recorder eq basically flat on the recorder, no compression or effects ot nothin'.

Maybe more to come- It was fun to do! One of my favorites is the 335 into channel two a little overloaded, although NOW I hear the guitar is a little out of tune! Why didn't I hear that recording it? Oh well.

M version. Gonna do a few more- Gonna try the direct recording out, re-do the 335, do an LP clean, etc...

OK, here's a few more-

Same basic setup- A 57 about 2 inches in front of the amp, into a DBX 386 and then into Yamaha AW1600. No compresison, no effects, no EQ, nothin'. Guitar and amp, that's it.
