tourmaster eq in loop

tried a boss ge7 in there...it doesn't sound right...it sounds....yucky in series or parallel
actually, parallel sounds better..i tried it at all send and return settings and its just not working.

is it due to the send being padded for non pedal effects?

what can i do to ramify this?

I'm not real clear on what series and parallel means... can you explain. I use a GE-7 in my Renegade loop periodically and it sounds fine - FWIW.

To put it simply...in parallel,you can mix the "dry" sound & the "effect ";so,you have a "mix knob" (your own controller) and you can do your own mix.In series,100% of your sound go through the effect (GE7 in this case).

my angle was to keep a mix of about 60% dry and add in eq'd sound as needed.

somethings wrong with my eq pedal though, thats what i've determined...and it's on the bench torn apart as of now.
