I wouldn't get my hopes up. Musicians Fiend is notorious for selling a product then telling you after the fact that it's on backorder. :gethim:

But maybe the glass is half full...

Soooo...TM's are back in stock at MF. Have the issues been resolved? Transformers (or whatever the probs were)???
Anybody?

yeah.. im under the impression that any tourmaster with an "m" in the beginning of the serial # has the "m" mod...2nd series transformer, resistor changes for gain, treble and tighten up the bass....

Do any of the Egnater guys ever look here any more?

They seemed to back in the day...when they were making the Mod series stuff...which I have (M4, bunch of modules) and still work great...

in and out from time to time.

im like the only person that i've seen, trying to help people with simple sided tourmaster issues (though, i'll admit, im no amp tech at all, im just a tinkerer, i've actually done some pretty good mod work though on my amps and guitars).

Yeti, you should be an Egnater amp expert by now, with all of your repair, and repair again and again experience.

hahah

yeah, i should apply to be an official tourmaster repair service center....!

I fixed my issue with mine !
I sold it ! after the guys at egnater had it all up and 100%
I wouldn't sell a headache without telling the buyer

I went back to egnater today, Got myself a Rebel 20 and matching 1x12

Hey Shimmilou !

I had a MIJ Jaguar HH that a local guy had to have and he had the Rebel 20 and matching cab, both close in used value so.......

I have yet to stop playing the Rebel 20 , it has been inspiring to say the least, not crazy about the made in China stuff but hey hopefully it lasts a while :D

The guys at Egnater treated me extremely well when I went through the Tourmaster trouble and got it back in 100% shape at very little effort or $$$
Then meeting Bruce at Sweetwater last year, I was amazed at the time he took with little old me and just how upfront he was about the struggles they had with some of the import models, the guy is first class all the way !

This amp is FUN !!!! and has so many tonal options, without digital crapola, my kind of swiss army knif amp

From what I've read, the Rebel 20 seems to be one of the least troublesome. Oddly, the 20 was the one I was going to get in the first place. But, the Bassman will be better anyway, and I'm done with overpriced Chinese stuff.

Keep in mind this isn't my #1 or only
Amp
My main amp is a 68 Bandmaster Reverb
And I have a 75 Vibro Champ
Old turret board technology that even I
Can fix

The egnater will however travel so much
Easier next summer for some blues jams
Backyard gigs etc....
