Tourmaster = poor man's IE4?

Just looking at the layout of the Tourmaster (four increasingly gainy channels, each with its own eq), I couldn't help but notice the similarity to the IE4. I thought it would have been cool to come out with an IE4-esque preamp for the import stuff, but this pretty much would be it, I guess.
Pairing this with the E2 (VX & SL2X or EG5) would be pretty awesome

Any other opinions?
