Tourmaster sudden short volume drop

I bought a used Tourmaster about 3 weeks ago. Love the amp tone so far.

Yesterday, I'd been playing for about 45 mins when there was a sudden drop in volume on OD2. It lasted for about 15-20 seconds and then the volume returned to normal. This happened another 2 times maybe in the next 20 mins. Then I stopped playing. I had not noticed this before.

Not sure if it's relevant, but I had a Radial JDI before the amp, was plugged in to the High input, and had a TC Nova System in the effects loop. The JDI was only introduced during the session where I had the issue.

Any ideas what the issue is or how to trouble shoot it?

play it just the amp and guitar for a while. see if it does it.

if so, report back. too many variables at this point to rule out. need bare bones.

Will do.

I found another symptom last night though. I missed a variable in my initial description. I had also plugged the record out speaker simulator in to my audio interface when all this was happening. When I turned the amp back on the next day, the record out wasn't working. I tried un/re-plugging the cable and changing the record out level, but nothing worked. The record out was almost silent (I recorded to check, and even with the volume cranked and the gain on the recording interface pretty high, the record out from the 4100 was mostly hiss with a very faint guitar behind it).

sorry, wasn't being terse on purpose...was working an all nighter for a guitar project for a local guy that needed something completed today. just caught your post during a small break!

the recording out is a whole nother animal, as you may know. were u using a regular 1/4 inch guitar cable for that connection?

let me know how your first diagnosis steps go. i will try to help you.

I was using a regular guitar cable for the recording out, yes. Is that not appropriate? I assumed it was just a line level output. I'm using regular guitar cables in the loop as well.

I didn't take your response to be terse. I changed a bunch of things and then had the issue. I'll continue playing with the current set up for a few hours and see if it repeats. If it does, I'll switch to just amp / guitar.
