is it possible, just in theory, to make the classic modes foothswitchable?

what about the contour buttons?

Well, I'm sure someone will show up and tell me I'm full of crap... LOL
But in theory, sure it is possible.

It's switchable on the amp, so it could be made footswitchable.
So what? 4 channels aren't enough for ya? ;)

nope

and i suspect when im done, 4 channels each with 8 footswitchable modes wont be either my man!

hahha

not sure i wanna mess with the contour buttons though, i have a feeling they'd be a bit more complicated as they're tied to the tubes directly.

but the modern/classic switches might just be do-able if i can get in there and have a peek....i've moddeed pedals back in the old days to have a remote switcher on my board, but remain in my rack not sucking my tone, put my own pickups in and rewired my old solidstate power amp when half of the wires fried after someone spilled a drink forward into my rack.

first things first, i talked to Nate today from Egnater amps and once i send in my order form, i'll get a reverb transformer sent to me for the tourmaster.. he feels that it might just be the reason my reverb isn't working.

in other news, i asked him about discharging the caps (since i'll be in there myself attempting the RT repair) and he said with the amp unplugged to simply turn the power switch to on, the turn the standby to play mode. that will discharge them safely without having to dig in there with specialized tools.

in other, other amp news, i bought this: https://www.youtube.com/user/glprecycled ... MQV-nV09aU attenuator. cant wait to use it in 10 watt mode...thereby creating a 1 watt situation under 8 ohm load with the power tubes breathing a little!!! should be cool.

i been running all my channels lately in 10 watt mode...but goddamn is that amp loud.
i also took my chassis out of the amp box and have it on my desk so i can roll tubes real quick like!

Asked this before didn't get a response so again: Does anyone think there is any modification to quiet down the line out? Sheilding maybe? Different power transformer?

Just so you know, putting the amp in play mode will not immediately discharge everything. There really are no special tools to discharge the amp, but it does discharge slowly. I just want you to be aware, that just putting in play does not necessarily make it safe to touch things inside if you aren't familiar with what you are touching in there. Without actually checking it myself, my best advice to you would be to at least leave it in play mode to discharge for 5-10 minutes(to be on the safe side). It likely won't take that long to discharge, but I don't want the next post in here to be that you got zapped inside the amp.

Killjoy. I was kind of looking forward to it ;)

i've left it untouched, in play mode, unplugged for a day now!

as soon as he told me to do it, i said "oh, REALLY...you're sure!!"

and then i thought to myself, yeah, its probably just enough to discharge it so it wont kill me, but only light me up a little  ....and they'll be waiting for my post about it on the forum so they can have a good guffaw!!

ahahahhaahahah

good one!

no

haven't ordered the reverb transformer yet.

my guess is, i wont, but something will jab me and i'll jump like im getting zapped though!

hahahaahahah

Haha, I can't recommend poking around in the amps, because of it being a bad idea with my last name on the front of the amp. But if you do poke around, just put something soft on the floor in case it zaps you off the chair.

tee hee.
i have a hard head.

i'll move my tubes though, dont want them getting broked.

thanks guys.
