Decided to break out the heavy artillery at a packed show. It was absolute glorious.

They made me turn down.
But whatever. I barely did.

Like BARELY. MAYBE ONE NOTCH.

So much heavy, tone was DISGUST.
👹

The mesh pit was very violent.
(Trust me, it was super packed)

Got nothing but compliments on my tone from the front of house and many fans. Spent most of the evening detailing the details of my RIG to all the fans.

Anyway, hate all you want n00bs!!

No hate coming from me man, i gig with the Super Crush 100 combo and I don't think I've ever had it at even halfway. I had the head also at one point but didn't have an ideal cab to use with it at the time so barely played it. I might revisit using the head again down the road. Solid sound!

What are your settings? I typically have the gain at 2 or 3 o'clock and then the mids at 10, treble at noon, and bass at around 2 or so. Someone told me about a trick where you dime the channel volume and use the master to control your overall volume. Works great for having a tad more crunch.

Smart thinking for packs fire extinguisher in case digital fires erupt. Very good access.

I use a Peavey Truimph 60 1x12 combo. Sounds great. I often run it into an Egnater 4x12 with 2 G12-T75's and 2 K-100's. (I hated that cab with a Peavey Triple X head, but the 5150 2x12 combo I had and the Triumph sound great through that cab.) I got a lot on compliments on the sound of the amp alone with the stock speaker and with the 4x12 cab. A couple of my guitarist friends thought the amp was modded. Nope. Bone stock. That amp sounds tight AF without an overdrive pedal. If it does the job, it does the job.

I played many shows back in the day with bands that had hd147’s that ripped, I wouldn’t mind grabbing one of them for nostalgic purposes alone, I’m sure the spider 2 is in the same realm

I had a XXX One time it wasn't bad actually. I had a block letter 5150 then too, played the 5150 more with an EQ pedal up front.

Actually sounded dank as hell out front.
One of my first tube amps.
Also had thr ultra plus back then.

I don't think id actually try to play a show with a line 6 spider, but they are fun amps when you want to just play around with random sounds and effects on a super budget. For sure.

However, I think I did see BLEEDING THROUGH using vetta HD at one point live. And also pretty sure it's on a record or two of theirs. So I'd probably take one of those if that's all I had access to. Wouldn't mind having one for fun. But then again, I'd probably just scoop an axe iii when I'm finally ready to become unemotional attached to my tube amps. 👹
